I'll stamp all over 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Former two time world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually happening.
